Speaker Nancy Pelosi blasted President Trump’s executive actions to assist Americans struggling amid the pandemic as weak and an “illusion”. In an interview with Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday” Nancy defended Democrat’s stance requesting for trillions foreign aid as negotiations with the White House and Senate Republicans have lingered.
She also emphasized that the series of Trump’s executive actions are “illusions rather than lasting solutions”.
“What the president does doesn’t even accomplish anything he sets out to do in the categories he did, but we said to Republicans, we’ll come down a trillion dollars, you come up a trillion dollars and we’ll be able to have an agreement that meets the needs of the American people, We have to reach an agreement, children are food insecure, families are at the risk of being evicted, the virus is moving like a freight train.
