Rep. Liz Cheney is receiving additional criticism from Wyoming voters as she prepares for a difficult reelection campaign ahead of a competitive GOP primary in which she is trailing.
Voters in particular expressed regret over Cheney’s antics while serving as co-chair of the House Jan. 6 Select Committee, whose members were hand-selected by Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Are you going to cast your ballot for Liz Cheney? According to The Daily Wire, CNN’s Randi Kaye questioned Wyoming voter Sharon Tuggle at the Frontier Days rodeo in Cheyenne.
“God no. Tuggle told Kaye that Cheney had lost her vote as a result of her participation on the committee on January 6th, “She’s done us dirty. Look at what she did to Trump.
Tuggle continued, “She is supposed to be standing by him. She is a Republican, for goodness’ sake!
In a tweet that included video clips of the network’s interviews with rodeo enthusiasts, CNN noted that “almost everyone we spoke with told us they believe Liz Cheney is too focused on Donald Trump and the January 6th committee and not paying enough attention to what they believe matters to the people here in Wyoming.” Cheyenne is more than 1600 miles from Washington.

Regarding Cheney’s campaign for a fourth term, a different voter told Kaye, “Personally, I think she’s had three too many.”
Cheney’s work on the “January 6th committee just repulsive,” according to another voter.
Everything is a hoax. All of it is propaganda. Nothing is related to it at all. Andrew Kahler, a voter from Wyoming, said to Kaye, “It’s a witch hunt.
Kaye told voter Brett Kupec, “She says she’s defending what’s important to people here in Wyoming, upholding the rule of law and defending the Constitution.”
Why doesn’t he have a defense team in that courtroom if that is the law? Kupec answered. That is not a legal principle. A kangaroo court is that. Wyomingns don’t operate that way.
Another voter called Cheney “an embarrassment” in simple terms.
Others accused the daughter of former vice president Dick Cheney of being overly preoccupied with the Jan. 6 committee and too disconnected from her state and its citizens.
One man told Kaye, “She has lost touch with the values of the people. She doesn’t know what her constituents want here any more.”
Another woman said, “I don’t feel like she supports her people here in Wyoming anymore.” “The issues she’s voting for don’t really represent how the people in Wyoming feel,” said one.
Following a debate with her opponents in June, including Trump-backed Harriet Hageman, who is currently polling double digits ahead of the Wyoming Republican, Cheney’s office pointed CNN to something the congresswoman said.
According to Cheney, “In Wyoming, we race for the brand, and our brand is the United States Constitution. “Therefore, I’m going to ask for the public’s vote. To earn that vote, I’ll put in a lot of effort. But I need people to know a little bit about me. Never will I prioritize a party over my obligations to the nation. Never will I prioritize serving the Constitution over serving my party. I made a vow in front of God, and I’ll keep that vow. I won’t say something I know is untrue just to get people to vote for me or to gain political support.
Early on, former President Trump endorsed Hageman, a longtime participant in the state’s GOP politics.
In addition to being a very successful lawyer and a fourth-generation Wyoming native, Harriet has the respect and support of Wyoming’s own U.S. Senator, Cynthia Lummis, according to Trump.
He continued, “Harriet Hageman adores the Great State of Wyoming, is steadfast on crime and borders, vehemently supports the Second Amendment, adores our military and our veterans, and will fight for election integrity and energy independence (which [President Joe] Biden has already given up).
“Harriet fully supports America First, in contrast to RINO Liz Cheney. I wholeheartedly support Harriet in her bid to unseat Liz Cheney, the Democratic Party’s go-to source for soundbites. The former president concluded, “Make America Great Again!”
