Trump Hit ‘Mumbling’ Pelosi Very Hard At His Rally.

The tension between President Trump and Nancy Pelosi have boiled for a week now. At a boisterous campaign in New Hampshire on the eve of the Democratic primary, an event that mirrored one he held last week in Iowa, Trump shook up the Democrats a bit as he hit Nancy Pelosi in the rally ahead of key NH primary.

Speaking to his supporters at the rally,he said the speaker’s behaviour was very distracting. He also prompted a rally chant aimed at Nancy Pelosi on Monday night as he emphasised that she ‘mumbled ‘ behind him during his State of the Union address.

“I had somebody behind me who was mumbling terribly, ” Very distracting. I am speaking, and a woman is mumbling terribly behind me. There was a little anger back there. We’re the ones who should be be angry, not them”. Trump said.

The crowd were heard chanting ‘lock her up’ about 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary and often use the refrain when the president mentions her at his rallies. But Monday marked one of the first times it was directed at Pelosi.

The president, before beginning his speech, rejected Nancy Pelosi’s handshake. After the address, the House speaker was seen ripping up a copy of Trump’s speech.

Before setting off for New Hampshire, where he invited his children, Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr to the stage, the president had tweeted that he wished to “shake up the Dems a little bit – they have a really boring deal going on”.

“Nine months from now, we are going to retake the House of Representatives, we are going to hold the Senate, and we are going to keep the White House, We have so much more enthusiasm, it’s not even close. They’re all fighting each other. They don’t know what they’re doing; they cannot even count thier votes”. Trump said to a thunderous applause.

Perhaps worst of all, Trump said, liberals and the “fake news” media simply “can’t take a joke.”

As it is, Democrats have plenty of drama of their own. Two new polls published on Monday suggested support for former vice president Joe Biden was at a new low nationally, and that Bernie Sanders was now the frontrunner.

At the rally, Trump remarked to applause, “We have more in this arena and outside this arena than all of the other candidates, meaning the Democrats, put together and multiplied by five. … We have never had an empty seat from the day your future First Lady and I came down the escalator”, he said that because Huge crowds gathered in the overflow viewing area outside the packed Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) arena in Manchester, which can hold approximately 11,000.

Before he left the rally, Trump ensured to thank Pelosi for giving Republicans the highest poll numbers they’ve “ever” had. Pelosi, who tore Trump’s State of the Union speech as soon as it concluded, was widely criticized especially after videos emerged showing she had ripped some of the pages.

The rally was part of a tried-and-tested tactic for Trump: scheduling counter-programming to divert attention from the Democrats’ debates and other major moments, keeping him in the spotlight and building supporters’ enthusiasm in the months before Election Day.
