Heavy pressure mounts on the Republican allies as a new national poll shows Joe Biden leading President Donald Trump with 11 points. The Republicans fear that his re-election chances could be hurt by his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.
A survey carried out and it was published that 49 per cent of registered voters approved of the job Trump was doing, while another 49 per cent disapproved of the sitting president.
On the other hand, Joe Biden got 53 percent support of the American electorate.
The surveys, taken together suggest that more voters would prefer to vote for Joe Biden, despite Trump’s response to the health challenge and its economic implications.
Trump is currently facing the biggest test of his presidency and it all boils down to his wrong decisions. He ignored several warnings about the coming pandemic, playing down the looming threat as crucial weeks ticked by with little or no action at all.
Joe Biden is currently leading because he got maximum support from top Democratic groups including young voters who went towards Bernie Sanders during the Democratic primary election.
However, Trump suggested that Joe Biden only won the primary because moderates in the race stepped down before Super Tuesday.
