Trump Declares He Has Ultimate Authority To “Open Up The States” And Not The Governors.

President Trump said Monday he has the ultimate authority to make a decision to open up the States in conjunction  with the top officials and governors. They have set up a second coronavirus task force focused to achieve that effectively.

He also tweeted on monday addressing the media for saying that it is the governors that can make the decision and not the president.

Trump stated that it is his decision and its “for many good reasons”. Despite the compulsory stay- at- home orders issued by the state governors.

Legal experts said that, while Trump can issue federal regulations to prevent the spread of diseases, he does not have the authority to reverse a public health restriction put in place at the state or local level.

However, he concluded that his Administration are working closely with the Governors and he, in conjunction with the governors will be made shortly.
