Former President Barack Obama has faced a lot of blistering critiques from Republicans as he condemned Trump’s response to Covid-19 crisis.
Barack Obama in his statement slammed Trump’s handling of the crisis and the DOJ’s decision to drop the case against Michael Flynn.
Over the weekend, Trump also fired back at Obama creating the term ‘OBAMAGATE’, while Mitch McConnell also referred to Obama’s statement on the crisis as “classless”.
The Senate Democrats have defended Obama’s statements noting that he has been meager about when he makes analysis of Trump’s actions.
“You always imagine the different world it would have been if Barack Obama was president right now, because he is someone that understood that service is about sacrifice and looking out for the people of this country instead of yourself,” Senator Amy Klobachar said.
The Republicans blamed Barack Obama’s administration for not preparing for the pandemic.
