Joe Biden Supports The Move To Remove Confederate Names Amid Trumps Opposition.

Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden has just announced that he is supporting a push to the removal of names of Confederate leaders from the Civil War from all the United States military assets.

The proposal was offered by Sen. Elizabeth Warren made the proposal and called  for the removal of names of the Confederate leaders from all military assets, including the type of equipment,  the facility, installation, plane or ship within 3 years.

The proposal was welcomed with the support of some Republicans despite Trump’s blunt refusal to remove the names from military bases.

Biden, fully supporting Elizabeth Warren stated that the names affixed on military installations must honor the diverse heritage of leadership and sacrifice in the history of America.

“I fully support Senator Warren’s bipartisan effort to form a commission to rename Defense Department facilities named after Confederate leaders in the next three years, and look forward to implementing the commission’s work as president,” he said.

There have been a longstanding argument over the removal of Confederate flags, statues and symbols as the nation fight to maintain the enslavement of the black people.

The fight escalated recently as protesters storm major cities in the U.S. and across other countries over the death of George Floyd who was murdered by a white police officer in Minneapolis.
