BREAKING! NANCY PELOSI TO LOSE POWER AS 70% DEMOCRATS RESIGN

With a series of upcoming retirements, Democrats’ majority in the House looks increasingly vulnerable, and Pelosi can only afford to lose three seats to keep her party in power.

Dozens of lawmakers have announced they won’t seek reelection in 2022, in what’s expected to be a tough year for Democrats trying to keep their narrow majorities in both chambers of Congress.

Several House members are seeking other offices, such as in the Senate or their state’s governorships. But other lawmakers are citing decennial redistricting and the increasingly toxic environment in Congress in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol as they head for the exits.

In less than 24 hours, Representatives Albio Sires, Stephanie Murphy, and Lucille Roybal-Allard, the Chairwoman of the House Appropriations subcommittee managing immigration problems, all declared that they will not seek reelection to their respective House offices.

When he announced to the New Jersey Globe that he would not seek reelection, Sires became the twenty-first Democrat to withdraw from the race. He is anticipated to make a formal statement before the end of the year, according to reports. As much as Sires represents a firmly blue district, the news came at a time when the state Legislature’s Redistricting Commission was exploring new maps to be approved by the legislature. According to reports, his vacant seat will have little impact on the result.

“It has been a great pleasure for me to serve in Congress, but it has come at a personal expense. My absence has been difficult for my family, especially my children, as well as for myself. I believe I could win in every single map that has been suggested,” Murphy said.

While the proposed redistricting map is awaiting approval by the Florida legislature, it seems likely that her congressional seat would be eliminated under the plan.

However, the decision comes after she withdrew from a Senate primary challenge against Florida congressional colleague Rep. Val Demings with the hopes of ultimately confronting Sen. Marco Rubio. Murphy was previously believed to be open to running against Demings in a Senate race until she changed her mind.
