After Arsenal clash against West Ham, some Chelsea supporters have noticed a few familiar wrong with Willian’s home debut with his new side Arsenal.

 

The Brazilian winger was allowed to leave Stamford Bridge on a free transfer at the end of last season, with his contract at the Blues expiring.

 

There was thought to be a standoff in negotiations, with Willian wanting three more years on his Chelsea deal, but the club were only prepared to offer him two further years.

 

In swept Arsenal, and Willian signed a three-year deal at the Emirates Stadium, where he made an immediate impact.

Last weekend, the Gunners were comfortable 3-0 winners over Fulham – with the 32- year-old providing all three assists for his new team-mates.

However, things were less than ideal for Willian in his home debut against West Ham United, and some Chelsea fans noticed a few problems.

Several Blues supporters took to Twitter to talk about Willian’s corner taking – something he did a lot during his time at Stamford Bridge.

The Arsenal winger was replaced on 64 minutes by Nicholas Pepe in a fairly uneventful evening for the former Blues star.

Willian spent seven years at Chelsea in total after signing from Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013 and managed to make over 200 appearances for the Blues.

In his last season with the club, the Brazilian played 36 times in the Premier League – scoring nine goals and providing an assist on seven occasions.
