Chelsea Headlines: Mendy Move Confirmed; Official Announcement Soon, How Chelsea Could Line up against Liverpool As Kovacic Returns.

Mendy Move is Confirmed; Official Announcement Soon.

Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard has made huge signings and Rennes Edouard Mendy is making his successful move to Stamford as Rennes have agreed a permanent transfer and satisfactory price.

According to L’Equipe, Rennes were initially asking for €40m and the loan of Olivier Giroud in return for Mendy’s services.

According to reports from football transfer source,
“Edouard Mendy deal as Kai Havertz… ‘just a matter of time’. The agreement with Chelsea has been completed by days. He’s joining on a permanent deal. Fee around €24m. Here we go confirmed.”

And After announcing Mendy, Chelsea will consider a move for Declan Rice [no bid yet].

Declan head coach is not ready to release the English man and has also placed a huge release clause that could cost Chelsea €70m, after signing Kai Havertz and Timo Werner for huge amounts.

Chelsea made Eduoard Mendy thier target due to Kepa Arrizabalaga performance last season and Chelsea are in search for a competitive young goalkeeper for Kepa Arrizibalaga after the Chelsea man had a bad time last season.

Line up Lampard should use against Liverpool as Kovacic returns.
Chelsea have a tough task ahead of them on Sunday when they host Premier League champions Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Both teams got their campaigns off to a winning start last weekend and it will be a real test for Frank Lampard to see how far his team have come.

However, the Blues have some injury issues, with Christian Pulisic, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell and Hakim Ziyech all set to be missing from the game.

It gives Lampard some problems over who he will pick for the important game on Sunday.

With the injuries still there, Olivier Giroud could be a real weapon, and having
Kai Havertz and Timo Werner around him could get the best out of all three.

As for the middle of the park, I would bring Mateo Kovacic back into the side and have N’Golo Kante at the base of a three, with Mason Mount on the other side of him.

As for the defence, Cesar Azpilicueta should come back in to replace Marcos Alonso
Chelsea could line up (4-3-2-1): Kepa; James, Christensen, Zouma, Azpilicueta; Kovacic, Kante, Mount; Havertz, Werner; Giroud.

Frank Lampard acknowledged earlier that he knows Liverpool head coach is a “Fantastic Manager” so he will try to do his best and claim the points at home.
