Democratic Mayor Changes Party: “They’re Totally Anti-American”

In the midterm elections in November, Republicans are “the clear favorites” to regain control of the House and possibly even the Senate.

John Lee, the Democratic mayor of North Las Vegas, has declared his intention to run as a Republican.

Lee claimed that the Democrats’ embrace of socialism and a “anti-American” ideology was the reason he switched to the Republican Party.

“The group passed me by. In fact, the socialist agenda that has taken over the Democratic Party is the reason why Democrats are now defecting in large numbers, Lee said. They are utterly hostile to Americans. Nobody existed for those who shared my beliefs about the principles, values, and virtues of being a decent American. The moment has come to go. At this point, they have decimated the Democratic Party.

The “elitist” and “socialist” agenda of the Democrats, according to Lee, is not one he “can deal with anymore.”

“They recently held a leadership election, and four of the five candidates were Socialist Party card-carrying members. It’s not the party I was raised with in this environment 25 years ago, and it’s not the party I can support any longer,” he said.

“The working class, or men and women who are employed in this nation, as well as small company owners, are no longer included in the discussion. The socialists and the elitists are at the root of everything. I don’t have it on my agenda for our nation of the future,” he continued.

“It’s not particularly well recognized in the Democratic Party nowadays when you’re a pro-life Democrat, a pro-gun Democrat, and you’re a really conservative person. For me to stay as long as I did in the hope that the party would change, it didn’t; in fact, it grew worse,” he continued.

In fact, Democrats are moving so far to the Left that, according to a recent report, many of them are defecting to the GOP.

According to a recent estimate, almost 1.7 million people switched from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party during the past year.

As we approach the midterm elections in November, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is also dealing with significant political challenges. A stunning 32 Democrats have declared they won’t run for office again. In the fall, there will also be a Senate.

The change in party affiliation occurred over the course of the past year, during which time President Joe Biden’s policies and spending legislation approved by the Democratically controlled Congress have been roundly blamed for rampant inflation, which has resulted in record-high average gas and diesel fuel prices, rising food and rent prices, a persistent supply chain crisis, and a chaotic, porous southwestern border.

Strangely, Republicans are making significant gains in both the suburbs of large and medium-sized cities, “where voters who supported President Biden in 2020 are struggling with inflation and growing more critical of Democratic social issues,” Fox News reported, citing data gathered by The Associated Press.

The outlet continues:

The voter trend is yet another sign that Republicans hope to make significant gains in Congress and state governments across the nation in November, even while it is hardly the death knell for Democrats.

Inflation is at a 40-year high and is showing no signs of slowing down, and the Biden administration has been frantically trying to handle both the increasing gas prices and these issues.

The White House approach to the economic crisis has drawn criticism from members of Biden’s own party who claim he is acting too passively.

In an opinion piece for The New York Times earlier in June, Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., stated that while she supports the president’s efforts, “we need a bigger vision and faster action.”

“To address the situation, Mr. Biden should form an urgent task team with the authority to reduce costs and deal with shortages. Not simply a few impromptu actions in response to headlines, but a full-scale mobilization is what we need, he continued.

There are further indications that Democrats will lose in a landslide in November.

Six senators and 49 members of the House of Representatives are among the 55 members of Congress who are not seeking re-election this year.

32 of the 49 House members who have decided against seeking reelection are Democrats.

  1. I pray that Republicans retake house and senate then they go after all these traitors to our country. Take care of this country and its citizens instead of selling us out to the globalist cabal
