DeSantis Rips Biden Over Increasing Fuel Prices: ‘They Don’t Care If You suffer’

Biden’s Administration will go down in history as one of the worst times to be in the US; second only to Obama Administration. There seem to be a new problem ravaging the entire country everytime you turn on the news and all indication points to the fact that Biden and his team can’t make heads or tails of what’s going on.

Governor Ron DeSantis has once again slammed President Biden as prices of living essentials continue to sky rocket especially gas and diesel prices.

Fuel, food, rent, building costs and pretty much everything else has been on the rise nonstop since Biden came to power. Supply chain problems have also been on the rise with no end in sight and more recently, there has been a serious shortage of baby formula which endangeres the lives of both nursing mothers and newborns across the country.

Rising fuel prices hit most americans the hardest because most americans have to drive to work, to get groceries, to pick up the kids from school and pretty much every other errand which is now a considerable expense due to current outrageous fuel prices.

As he spoke, GOP Governor Ron DeSantis made harsh comments critcizing biden and his administration for its fruitless economic policies and absolute hatred for Fossil fuels and energy independence.

Biden lobbied for and received a $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief bill in 2021, and then a $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill later that year. Biden planned a $5.8 trillion budget at the end of March 2022, and the Biden administration stated last week that three oil and gas leases, including one in Alaska, had been revoked.

“People are getting crushed by gas costs, and overall inflation is owed more than anything to Biden’s program of printing trillions and trillions of dollars like they have done since he took office,” DeSantis said on Sunday, referring to the country’s record-high gas prices.

“We’re seeing record gas prices, folks are truly struggling,” DeSantis said in response to Fox News anchor Dan Bongino. In Florida, there are a lot of people who are on fixed incomes. Despite this, we learnt last week that oil and gas leases have been terminated.”

Last Wednesday, Biden’s Department of the Interior canceled plans to drill for oil on nearly 1 million acres in Alaska’s Cook Inlet, telling CBS News that the decision to “not move forward” was due to a “lack of industry interest in leasing in the area.” Because of “conflicting court orders that impeded work on these proposed lease sales,” the Department of Interior cancelled two leases in the Gulf of Mexico.

“Well, Dan,” DeSantis said, “the energy policy is deliberate.” “They are diminishing our ability to generate oil and gas in the United States on purpose.” They’ll grovel to OPEC for more oil and Maduro for more oil. Maduro’s oil, I suppose, isn’t causing global warming, but American [oil] is.”

“It’s rubbish,” he continued, “it’s ideology, but it’s really dangerous.” “People are being hit by gas costs, and general inflation is owing more than anything to Biden’s program of printing trillions and trillions of dollars, which he has done since taking office….” Larry Summers and other Democratic economists cautioned him, “If you do this, you will unleash inflation.”

Summers, who served as Treasury Secretary under previous President Bill Clinton, warned Biden about huge spending in May 2021, saying, “The air of serenity and contentment being conveyed by economic planners, that this is all something that can be readily controlled, is incorrect.”

“And that’s a tax, Dan,” DeSantis said, referring to the alarming levels of inflation witnessed since Biden assumed office. “We have folks making seven, eight percent more year over year, but if the costs of living are up 15 to 20%, as they are, inflation is understating it when you look at the things that actually count.”

“So I believe it has been an incredible policy failure, and here’s the thing: Reverse course,” DeSantis said. “Increase energy production in the United States. He might very simply do that, but yet what does he do, as you just pointed out? Oil and gas leases are still being cancelled. They don’t want us to be energy self-sufficient, and they don’t care if you have to pay more at the pump.”
