Florida Governor Don DeSantis attacks President Joe Biden’s administration arguing that he is ready to move illegal migrants to Delaware if the White House fails to control the U.S – Mexico border.
DeSantis slammed Biden at the press conference over allegations that the Federal Government is moving migrants overnight. He said “If they’re going to come here, we’ll provide buses and send them to Delaware, If he’s not going to secure the border, then he should have everyone there. If Biden is not going to support the border being secured, then he should be able to have everyone’ in Delaware, DeSantis told reporters.
However, Mississippi U.S. Senators oppose Biden’s $450,000 payments to illegal immigrants. It came to light last week that Biden is considering a plan that would pay illegal immigrant families who were separated at the border when they crossed into the U.S. outside the law up to $450,000 each.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has filed a lawsuit against the administration on behalf of some of the illegal immigrants that are claiming mental trauma due to the separations. Less than 1,000 claims have been filed to date, yet total settlements could exceed $1 billion if the Biden administration goes through with their plan.
