Joy Reid’s Ratings Tank As Rumors Swirl She Could Get Kicked off MSNBC: Report

 

There are reports that one of the liberalst hosts in the mainstream media may be leaving.

The MSNBC program hosted by Joy Reid had its lowest-rated month ever, losing 51% of its premiere audience from 2020.

Her program, “ReidOut,” had its lowest monthly audience in April since the show’s launch over two years ago.

In the news-heavy month, “ReidOut” averaged 1.1 million viewers, a 31 percent decrease from April of the previous year. She also lost 11% of viewers from the previous month and a startling 51% from the first month of the show, July 2020.

Since the program’s debut in July 2020, “ReidOut” has also lost 57 percent of its total audience in the advertiser-prized demographic of adults 25-54, closing April with a pitiful demo average of only 124,000 viewers. Since July 2015, April saw the lowest number of viewers of “ReidOut” on MSNBC at 7 p.m. on weeknights in the crucial demo.

Every single weekday Fox News Channel program, including “FOX & Friends First,” which airs from 4-6 a.m. ET, outperformed “The ReidOut” in April.

Reid has recently made news by making a number of bizarre remarks.

She attributed Vice President Kamala Harris’ low approval ratings to “white and male media” earlier this week.

Prior to that, Reid faced criticism for his assertion that Elon Musk is attempting to acquire Twitter because he failed to notice the South African Apartheid system. Reid added that Republicans wanted to adopt the “culture” of Twitter and publicly harass and denigrate people.

 

Greg Gutfeld, a Fox News anchor, made fun of Reid by claiming that MSNBC was “terrified” to ever fire her in late April.

 

Reid’s “scam,” according to Gutfeld, was to label everyone around her as “racist,” and she had carried out her strategy so well that MSNBC was probably too afraid to fire her for fear that she would label them racists as well.

All of this follows media reporter Jon Nicosia’s claim that “Joy Reid’s future at MSNBC is the subject of serious conversation at Comcast at all levels.”

Although Reid has said many terrible things, some would argue that she has also criticized Kyle Rittenhouse in a couple of her remarks.

Reid claimed Rittenhouse’s acquittal had a historical precedence that dates back to the era of slavery after a jury declared him not guilty on all five counts.

Reid informed her guest host Jason Johnson, “I believe we have to keep in mind, while we’re witnessing the criminal justice system at work, that it was created to achieve exactly what it did today.” “Gun laws improved the design to make today’s verdict possible. This nation was founded on the notion that White males had a special form of freedom and citizenship that only they had, giving them, starting with the slave catchers, the authority to use violence to protect property. That is comparable to the American nation’s founding act.

Following Rittenhouse’s testimony during his murder trial, she stated what follows:

Joe Concha, a critic of the media, also suggested this week that Rittenhouse might sue Reid.

Concha remarked, “Right there was exhibit A, B, C, D, and E.” The Kyle Rittenhouse story’s likely next phase involves numerous defamation lawsuits filed against numerous media outlets, including MSNBC in particular and a personality named Joy Reid, who we had the pleasure of hearing.
