Liz Cheney Ripped After Rudely Skipping an Event In Wyoming To Focus on Hearings.

Liz Cheney, a Wyoming representative, faces a formidable challenge from a Trump-backed rival this year, making it difficult for her to win reelection.

However, it doesn’t seem like the troubled Republican cares enough about the circumstance to try to run a meaningful campaign.

The Republican primary rival of the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney criticized her for skipping a significant event in her home state to stay in Washington, D.C., to participate in more committee hearings on January 6.

At the Central Wyoming Fair & PRCA Rodeo, contender Harriet Hageman met with voters after receiving former president Donald Trump’s support the previous year.

As per Breitbart News:

Hageman took part in the “rodeo parade” at the Wyoming fair, waving to supporters and shaking hands with prospective voters. Cheney, though, chose to stay in Washington to hold the contentious hearings with Democrats on January 6 rather than go to the parade.

Attendees from Wyoming who were present at the celebration undoubtedly noticed Cheney’s absence.

For starters, she doesn’t reside in this area. Cheney “truly doesn’t represent us,” Sally O’Brien told Yahoo News. “She claims to be a constitutionalist, but she only believes in justice for those who were affected by the events of January 6.”

O’Brien continued, “I’m supporting [Hageman] because everything I’ve read about her shows that she is a true Wyomingite. She is really conservative, says I.

Additionally present during the march was local businessman Bob Ide, who told Breitbart News that he felt Cheney had “betrayed” Wyoming by supporting Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) committee and staying in Washington.

With her show trial on January 6, she “betrayed the voters of Wyoming,” Ide claimed.

Nancy Donovan, a former supporter who contributed more than $35,000 to Cheney’s previous campaigns, believes the Wyoming Republican and daughter of former vice president Dick Cheney is crazy.

She told the Financial Times, “I sat there watching the hearings on January 6 and I thought, ‘Have you lost your mind?'” “Every major institution, from the media to the swamp in Washington, D.C., is after this man [Trump], and now one of his own party is doing the same thing?”

Hageman stated that Cheney “does not represent us and she has deceived us” and referenced her continued volunteer participation in the January 6 committee as an act of betrayal.

“[Cheney] works on the January 6 committee all day. She has made it abundantly obvious that preventing Donald Trump from ever being president is her top concern. People are concerned about inflation, an open border, the preservation of our employment, our schools, and our children, Hageman told the Times. She doesn’t care about it right now, I said.

Regarding Cheney’s chances against Hageman, a prominent Republican senator from her home state effectively wrote her political obituary earlier this week.

Because there are “not enough Democrats” to support Cheney, Sen. John Barrasso stated on Fox News on Sunday that Cheney is likely to lose to Hageman.

Politics in Wyoming is deeply personal. Face to face is used. Town to town,” remarked Barrasso. She needs to put in a lot of effort if she wants to win the primary, in my opinion, based on my travels around the state.

Barrasso told Emanuel, “There’s just not that many Democrats out there.” Even the Democratic Party chairman stated that there are insufficient Democrats to carry out that task.

Democrats in Cheney’s state received postcards from her campaign last month explaining how they might switch parties and back her.

The mailer asks, “How do I switch my party affiliation to register as a Republican so I can vote for Liz?

The Wyoming Voter Registration Application & Change Form must be filled out and submitted to your county clerk’s office no later than 14 days prior to the primary election if you wish to change your party affiliation or declare a new affiliation.

The mailer notes that the GOP primary in Wyoming is on August 16 and adds, “You may also alter your party affiliation at your polling site on the day of the primary or general election, or when seeking an absentee ballot.”
