Following President Biden’s decision not to seek re-election in 2024, Vice President Kamala Harris and former First Lady Michelle Obama are the top two candidates for the Democratic presidential candidacy, according to a poll conducted by CNN.
Among all prospective presidential contenders, Harris garnered 13 percent of voter support, while Obama came in second with 10 percent, according to a Hill-HarrisX survey conducted earlier this year.
Sens. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, and Cory Booker of New Jersey were all considered potential candidates, as were former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, and previous 2020 presidential contender Andrew Yang.
Their support from registered voters totaled little more than 5 percent in each case.
Despite this, 36 percent of respondents indicated they were “unsure” about who they would vote for, and 13 percent said they would vote for someone who was not on the list.
The White House has said that Vice President Joe Biden plans to run for re-election in 2020, setting the stage for a potential rematch with former President Donald Trump, who has not yet declared his candidacy for president in 2024.

According to Crowley, if the Democrats choose Michelle Obama as their presidential candidate, it would place Republicans in a tough situation since they would look for a candidate who is entirely believable, highly popular, and immune to negative criticism.

Crowley, a political journalist, and former Fox News contributor were participating in a panel discussion with Republican Rep. Ronny Jackson, right-wing activist Jack Posobiec, and author Kurt Schlichter, among others.
Obama has said on several occasions that she wishes to keep out of politics, despite the fact that she is asked “all of the time.”
“It’s not something that I’m interested in or anything that I would ever do — ever,” she said on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2018 of the practice.
