AN UPDATED VERSION OF AN ASSOCIATED PRESS story appears to reveal the infamous laptop stolen from the U.S. Capitol on January 6, which had long been rumored to belong to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was a staff laptop that was only used for presentations and not the speaker’s personal computer.
It was included in an Associated Press report about a New York mother and son who were “charged with theft in connection with the loss of a laptop belonging to the staff of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi,” according to the correction. The Associated Press incorrectly portrays the demonstrations on January 6 as an insurrection, although no protestors have been charged with such a crime.
The laptop was first reported to be Pelosi’s personal property by the Associated Press. Soon later, the story was updated to include the fact that the laptop in question belonged to a member of Pelosi’s administration. Whether or not the staff member’s personal property was involved is unknown, but given that the laptop in question “was primarily used for presentations,” it is probable that it belonged to Pelosi’s office, according to the Associated Press.
“This item has been modified to reflect the fact that the laptop in question did not belong to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, but rather was a staff laptop taken from a conference room that was solely used for presentations,” according to the news agency.
According to the Associated Press, the FBI officers who apprehended the mother and son said they were hunting for Nancy Pelosi’s laptop computer.
Previously, the FBI raided the home of Paul and Marilyn Hueper, an Alaska couple who had attended President Donald Trump’s rally in Washington, D.C. on January 6, but who maintain that they did not participate in the protest at the United States Capitol. The raid was prompted by a false tip.
As National File has reported, despite the FBI forcing their way through the family’s door in what they claim was a no-knock raid, they have now admitted that they were not responsible for the theft of the famed Pelosi laptop.
Today, it has been revealed that the iconic Pelosi laptop that sparked this search was only an office laptop used for presentations and thus did not contain any critical material.
Oh snap! FBI cannot barge into homes as they have been doing lately. Its unlawful without a search warrant, they cannot take anything out of your home PERIOD
