Many Americans, like me, believe that Ilhan Omar may have simply hinted at her status as an asset of a hostile foreign power by making her remarks.
First, let us review the previous claims leveled against Ms. Omar, before we get into the bizarre tweet she put out this morning, which came before of Iranian attacks on US sites in Iraq, to be sure.
According to what you may remember, Alan Bender, a Canadian businessman, said in a Florida courtroom under oath that Ms. Omar was compromised and operating on behalf of Qatar, according to a sworn deposition.
It was at that time that The Washington Examiner published an article with the headline “Ilhan Omar was identified as a “Qatari asset” who transferred secrets to Iran,” according to the Florida Supreme Court.
For the time being, it’s crucial to remember that these are only claims; thus, let’s simply look at her tweet today with those allegations in the back of our minds.
That sounds to you like a threat, a suggestion, or a combination of the two.
It certainly seems to me that Ms. Omar is attempting to exploit Iran’s hostility towards the United States as a weapon to divide our nation and undermine the President of the United States.
Who is the victor in all of this? It is none other than Iran.
I understand the opposition to a full-scale war that would engulf the whole Middle East; this is a legitimate position and one that I happen to agree with.
A very other matter is to be working against the President and providing our adversary with information on methods to undermine our nation’s security and the President’s leadership abilities.
It is more than that; Omar’s implication poses a danger to the stability of the country… GLOBALLY.
It didn’t take long for Twitter users to figure out what Omar was getting at with his tweet:

Again, I understand being opposed to open conflicts with Iran; but, what I do not accept is the Democrats’ apparent wish to join with the Islamic Republic of Iran over our own country, a nation that they pledged to defend, as they have done again and over again.
That Democrats were side with Iran against our executive branch and the military is not the first piece of evidence to come to light.
