Ron DeSantis Responds To Elon Musk, Triggers Democrats

Elon Musk announced he was leaning toward Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for president in the upcoming presidential election, and DeSantis received a terrific response to his support.

“I’m focused on 2022,” the governor said at a press conference, “but with Elon Musk, what I would say is, you know, I welcome support from African-Americans.” “What can I say?” says the speaker.

 

Musk was born in South Africa, but the term “African-American” is usually reserved for black people.

 

Many Democrats and progressives were outraged by the governor’s remark.

“I’ve already stated that @GovRonDeSantis is a sardonic, overtly fascist counterpart of Trump. He’s demonstrating the former quality here, as “comedy” for him means insulting Black Americans with his own, dumb, and nasty replacement theory. “Take note, black Floridians,” MSNBC host Joy Reid urged.

“When a Silicon Valley Tesla owners club on Twitter asked who he was ‘leaning towards,’ the billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX announced his favorite choice for the White House in 2024 on Wednesday,” The Washington Examiner said.

Musk responded, “DeSantis,” after stating that he had yet to decide whether or not he would vote for a Republican candidate in 2024.

Musk’s endorsement of DeSantis comes after he claimed on Twitter that he voted for his first Republican political candidate, Rep.-elect Mayra Flores, who won the formerly deep-blue 34th Congressional District in South Texas on Tuesday night, becoming the first Republican candidate to do so in 150 years.

He also predicted massive GOP gains in the November midterm elections in the same tweet.

“I voted for Mayra Flores – my first Republican vote.” He predicted a “massive red wave” in 2022.

“Welcome to the Republican Party!” says the greeter. All walkaways from all walks of life are welcome. The party of opportunity, wealth, and liberty is a force to be reckoned with. The new representative responded, “We look forward to working together and establishing a better future for all of America.”

Her victory further erodes the Democratic House majority, and it’s the latest sign that Hispanics are migrating to the Republican Party in the face of record-high inflation under President Biden and a Democratic Congress.

Furthermore, Hispanics are becoming increasingly dissatisfied with Biden’s near-open-borders immigration policies, which he adopted on the first day of his presidency.

Musk declared in May that he will be voting for some Republican candidates despite having voted for Democrats his whole adult life, including Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020.

Flores won the special election for Texas’ 34th Congressional District over Democrat Dan Sanchez. Rep. Filemon Vela (D) formerly held the seat, but stepped aside earlier this year to pursue a career as a lobbyist as Democrats braced for a tough midterm election season.

The Houston Chronicle said that Flores is now “the first Republican candidate to represent that portion of the Rio Grande Valley since 1870,” and that she is also “the first congresswoman born in Mexico.”

The region has been decimated by Democrat President Joe Biden’s border issue, which has turned off many Hispanic voters who have traditionally supported Democrats.

“I’ve seen enough: Mayra Flores (R) defeats Dan Sanchez (D) in the #TX34 special election, flipping an 84 percent Hispanic Rio Grande Valley seat red,” Dave Wasserman, U.S. House editor of the nonpartisan Cook Political Report, tweeted Tuesday evening.
