Trump Mocks Democrats As Senate Blocks Witnesses In Impeachment Trial.

All efforts to call witnesses at the Senate trial of Trump’s impeachment is almost proving abortive as almost all the Republican senators that Democrats needed to open the way said he opposed the idea.It was a huge success for president Trump and his defense team after they voted against impeachment witnesses in a 51-49.

Rep.Lamar Alexander ,announced that although what Trump had done was “inappropriate”, the misconduct did “not meet the US constitution’s high bar for an impeachable offense”.

“The question then is not whether the president did it, but whether the United States Senate or the American people should decide what to do about what he did,” Alexander said.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Trump trolled Dems after Senate blocked the witnesses in the impeachment trial. He tweeted with a photo of him swinging a golf club.

President Trump’s defense team including his deputy counsel Patrick Philibin completely slammed Schiff and the Democrats. They flawlessly executed and made Schiff look like an inept clown.

“These articles of impeachment on their face are defective and on the first article of impeachment,that too is defective on its face”. Philbin argued as he destroyed the articles of impeachment “Obstructionof Congress” and “Abuse of Power” charge.

Democrats are pushing for John Bolton, the president’s former national security adviser to testify, with what could be a damaging account of Trump’s “quid pro quo” strategy with Ukraine that has resulted in his impeachment, while Republicans are saying they have the numbers necessary to shut down the attempt.

Republicans could effectively trigger the beginning of the end of the impeachment trial if they successfully block witnesses, with a final vote on whether to remove president Trump from office or acquit him.

Trump lawyer Alan Dershowitz also argued in Trump’s defense when he said the president could not be removed from national office over requesting political favors if he believed those favors were in the public interest of the country
