Victory At Last!! Trump Aquitted In Sham Impeachment Trial.

A four month fractious trial and inquiry of President Trump’s impeachment finally came to a close after he was acquitted of two articles of impeachment against him. It was completely controlled by the Republican Senators who voted massively in favour of Donald Trump.

The final phase of the trial lasted for 45 minutes when John Roberts, the Chief Justice presided over the votes, one for each article and he instead took a new turn by asking Senators to either vote ‘guilty’ or ‘not guilty’ which we all know the usual way of voting and its either a ‘yeah’ or ‘nay’.

President Trump was cleared of both impeachment charges. Only Mitt Romney crossed party lines, the lone Republican who voted to convict and remove the president from office. He became the first ever senator to vote against his own party’s president in an impeachment trial.

On the first article, abuse of power, 48 Senators voted guilty and 52 Senators voted not guilty, While for the second vote on obstruction of Congress, 47 Senators voted guilty and 53 Senators found the president not guilty. The first article on abuse of power was rejected and the second, obstruction of Congress was defeated.

It was a victorious moment for president Trump after five months of accusations over Ukraine that threatened his presidency. He was also not seen attending to any public function even after the victory.

The president’s allies responded to the verdict by declaring he was “forever acquitted,” a heavy blow at Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s past statements that Trump would be impeached “forever” regardless of his fate in the Senate.

Also Grisham reacted stating that the Trump is pleased to put this latest chapter of shameful behavior by the Democrats in the past, and looks forward to continuing his work on behalf of the American people in 2020 and beyond.

The impeachment process lacked due process or fairness for President Trump, breaking all historical precedent. The untruthful case by the Democrats came to its final end in the Senate where it came crashing down because there was no evidence, the accusations also lacked facts and was completely unfounded. This whole sham was well planned by Rep. Adam Schiff but the Defense Team exposed him and fired back at him. There was clearly no pressure, no impeachable offence and no quid pro quo.

The Democrats spent close to 3 years plotting to remove President Trump from office with the help of Comey’s spying FBI, a special counsel team full of rabid Trump haters, but the problem with their plot was that POTUS was always innocent.
